Ok, I took a look at Liv Tyler's inner thighs today and while the pores are NOTHING near as big as the pics shown online for ADULT male iguanas, I noticed that the first 7 or 8 pores (starting from the end where the legs attach to the body) are larger than before, and significantly larger than the others further down the legs. There is also that femoral plug things in there that are like a waxy plug (I THINK) in those larger pores. It still looks nothing like the pics online of even FEMALE adults, but I don't know does this mean that Liv Tyler is a boy?

He also hasn't eaten nearly as much as usual these few days. Does this maturity coincide with a temporary decrease in apetite?

Wow, it does sound like he may be male....of course Im just a newby but the waxy plugs are a male thing, and I have read that reduced appetite can coincide with breeding season. Still, a photo would be helpful if you can manage.

I'll shy away from photo taking for a few days. He just started getting better and eating more today. I'm going to leave him alone except for a little handling.
