Other Iguana owners in Hong Kong?
Hi. I have now had my iguana for a month and 2 days, and I have done a good job in providing it with good home and care and it has recovered fully from it's former mistreatment and has already grown a full 7 inches. However, I WOULD love to meet other experienced iguana owners here in Hong Kong. Share tips, talk about which vets are good and which are crappy, and if nothing else, just to hang out and chit chat.
But despite the fact that pet stores import 2000 iguanas per lot every few months, I have not been able to meet ONE single person who has an iguana, not only since I have gotten mine, but in all my life!! When I hang out in the pet stores sometimes, I see people coming in with questions about iguanas and they don't even know the name of the species is called "Iguana" (they point at a bottle of iguana product and say "I have one of these)! There has got to be someone else, in this concrete jungle of a metropolitan city, that owns and takes proper care of their iguanas that I can hang out with. I have tried e-mailing the local herp society, but gotten NO reply to my e-mails. Besides, their website is and has been under construction since... well, forever, with missing pages and stuff so I seriously doubt they do anything. I am SURE that this and another iguana forum I post on, is frequented by most GOOD iguana owners. I mean, heck, everyone has an internet connection nowadays. And if you are someone who loves your pet, won't you at least type their species name into google? I really hope I can meet someone in this city who has an iguana and cares for them and loves them. If you do, please do respond to the post or send a private message. |

I don't know of any other iguana owners from hong kong, but we've got a new member from hong kong who might know something about local herp organizations, or atleast they might be able to understand how hard it is for you to find what you need in your petstores and what not. Here is a link to the introductory thread...
Hello from Hong Kong
