Cophrogy (eating their own poop) is not common but not unusual either, especially in young iguanas. It indicates that the iguanas gut bacteria is not sufficient for it to fully digest foods.
Order the Nutribac df from Rich, or find a store that specializes in birds and buy some Benebac. Yogurt is only an emergency alternative.
Don't be freaked out by the cophrogy, it won't kill the ig, probably help him balance his system.
Glad to hear it is pooping on its own now. ;-) Sounds like he is starting to settle in.
You may want to consider getting a fecal float done for good measure. Take some fresh poop, put it in a plastic bag and drop it off at a vets office. They will test for parasites. Baby, store bought igs usually have parasites. May be why he is eating food AND poop.
