Shed questions

I don't know if this is normal, but Shakespeare has starting shedding, a lot. He'll shed a part of his skin (not all of it at once, he does it in sections), then a few days later, he's shedding again. Should I take him to the vet right away?

How old, my young one seems to be shedding alot right now as well. But she is growing really fast. I thought it had something to do with her new "mega-ray" light and better food. (she is a rescue)

He's less than a year old, by my estimation, and he is growing quite a bit, he's eating everything in sight.
