It's PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!
Most of us know that igs love bread. Most of them will do everything short of headstands to get it. Well we were having some pizza for dinner. Now Zok has never in all her life been given pizza or even fed when pizza was around but tonight she wanted it! Zok took one look at it. Down from the basking shelf she came like a fireman sliding down a pole! She pushed the door to her enclosure open (since it is only fastened when we are away) and here she came! She circled and pawed my leg and did every thing but sit up and beg! I broke off a bit of crust (with NO cheese or meat on it!) and gave it to her. BIIIIIIIIG mistake. She thought that was greeeeeeeeat!
She'd climb up in my lap, I'd put her back down on the floor. Up in my lap,....down on the floor, you get the picture. I did this dance with this 4 ft lizard for 10-15 minutes. I didn't think I was ever going to get to eat my dinner! Next time its pizza night the cage is getting locked!

Pizza dancing with an iguana? Too funny! Do iguanas drool? I have a picture in my head of future pizza nights at your house and an iguana locked up, standing in a pool of drool!

It was funny! And she does act somewhat like a dog these days. For the first few years of her life she didn't even like being out of her enclosure. Take her out and put her down, right back in she would go!The only times she was really outgoing was when she was gravid and in "looking for a nest site" mode. After this last egg laying she has retained her outgoing behavior even to the point of occassionally being a pest and begging for goodies. A few days ago the little nuisance even stole my morning biscuit right off the computer desk.
