He's there, that's for sure. If an iguana does not want to be seen they can easily become "invisible" to us.
Check the highest places possible, like Jay said, they will seek safety in the highest place.
Keep the AC off. You need to keep him warm or he will not move around. Your best bet is to heat the place up, making him more active and more apt to roam around.
Check in/under/over everything. Know that he is there and hiding from you. Be prepared, most find them at the most inopportune time, like when you lay back on the couch and then feel something move behind you! Scares the **** outta you!
Keep looking. He can go days without food and water, but will become weaker and weaker as the days go on.
