Why multiple igs should not be housed together...

...as a general rule. These pics are graphic, but tell the story better than words ever can. This was a bite from a large male on the head of a smaller 8 lb ig...which is NOT so small:

Its a good heads up on several levels! If they can do that to tough ig hide imagine what they can do to your FACE!
Excellant example!
Thanks V!

I'll stick to my snakes: their bites are scary but mostly painless and don't leave more than a dozen or so tiny holes!

Thanks for editing in the warning Dom. They are pretty graphic. That's why I wanted to post them. So many don't have a clue. Some are told igs don't even have teeth.

Black Jack...I couldn't agree more. The 4' black racer I helped off of the barbs of a barbed-wire fence a couple years ago left me with a perfect set of teeth marks square on my elbow, it's nothing compared to what my 4' ig could do.
I can now identify this snake quite well now. He's been seen several more times for the scars on his back. We are definitely in his territorial range... .

Thats terrible
Thats really sad I am glad to hear that he is doing better thanks to the vet, I would never dream of housing Ig's togather in my opinion that is just asking for trouble.....
As for people being informed that ig's have no teeth they should take a good look, they have plenty of teeth, and know how to use them.
