I found the bugger!!!!!!

phew what a relief I was so worried about him I put out space heaters and melon slices to lure him out but I found him wedged under a cabinet that I didnt know had an underneath
now I dont know what to do with him
if I put him back in his cage he'll just escape agian because the latch is broken
so im just holding him right now and thinking about what to do
i have to move faster to get his new cage and for now see if I have someplace to put him
just happy that he's ok I couldnt stand not being able to find him

At least you found Zair ok! Can you prop something against the door to hold it shut in the meantime.
Maybe you should rename him Houdini!

Since I don't know how your door opens...I can only take a guess. If from the front, put a chair in front of it for now. Latches are easy to get and replace. Wal-Mart has several styles. I'm really glad you found him... .

its a wiredog crate the biggest size, converted into a cage.its only ment to be temporary. we used to put out dog in that one rarley if someone was over that we couldnt trust him with, and he bent the bars near the bottem latch and it wont wont reach the hole anymore.
*must build new cage* for now im going to use a lock to close the bottom and keep something infront of the herproom door so if he does figure a new way out he'll have to be in the room. my dad bulit the room for me but never gave me a doornob

Use a clip. The same type used for keychains work well. Easy to undo and igs don't have opposable thumbs to undo them themselves... .
