whenever my ig gets directed to sunlight he always opens his mouth...why is he doing this?does he feels irritated or thats just normal?

He could be getting too warm or he could be getting overwhelmed, when I take Dizzy on a car ride his mouth opens up every time we go under a bridge because it scares him.

What do you mean by "directed to"? Do you mean placed in direct sunlight? If so the ig should always have a shaded area in which to retreat from the sun if it gets too hot.

If an iguana is overheated they will open their mouths and pant to cool off.
They will also open their mouths in stressful situations but they do not pant.
