Freya update vet visit
Freya went to the vet today. They were very pleased with how she is doing. They did put her on an antibiotic. They said she is strong enough now to handle being on it, it is for some seepage from the bad spot on her tail. The seepage seems clear, but we don't want infection to begin. They are still pretty sure they will have to amputate more of the tail. Since she will now lay on her back to be tummy rubbed, they were able to get a good look at the leftover damage from the broken pelvis and The abscesses. They said to keep soaking the abscesses, although two had already let go of their dead tissue, the big one still hadn't. Well, after the vets messed with it, and we came home, she was going potty and the large abscess let go of it's dead tissue, so now she is pink underneath in spots. They say she is the most spoiled ig they have seen. They've never seen one that liked it's belly rubbed before. She weighed 3.8 pounds her first visit, 2 weeks later the little piggie weighs 4.9 pounds. They are extremely pleased about that and her poops. Something only someone who has worked hard with their animal or children is usually proud of
No parasites in her poop either! She went from not wanting to be touched much to loving attention!

Re: Freya update vet visit
Nice to hear she's doing so well... and that she's making the transition to being loved too!
Any idea when they'll finish her tail?

Re: Freya update vet visit
Obviously, you're doing a great job with her. That is one lucky ig. I would love to see her getting her belly rubbed. I couldn't even begin to imagine doing that to my ig.

Re: Freya update vet visit
I believe this will solve your pic problem. At least I hope so. I had the same problem a while back with my pics.
On your computer pull up the pic you want to upload full screen. Right click on the pic and click on "Properties". You should get a window like this: (Remember to click to enlarge) ![]() If not there should be three tabs at the top, General, Security, and Details. Make sure the details tab is clicked on. At the very bottom click on "Remove properties and personal info". You should now get this window: ![]() Make sure the option "Create a copy with all possible properties removed" is chosen. Click OK and upload the copy back to your gallery again. The problem is that there is extra data bundled together with the pics I took such as the the make and model of the camera, Exposure time, Etc.. These steps eliminate all or most so there is just the pic being sent to this site. There has been a couple of times that this didn't work and I had to do it twice (make a copy of the copy) But, it always worked the second time but this has been rare so far I hope this solves your problem. ![]()
