I agree about the canned ig food.......JUNK! Most of it is just fillers, that have no nutritional value for them. I would be be feeding collard, mustard greens as your basic staple with squash as another everyday one and other veggies rotated throughout the week, I would also give mango and papaya. Canned baby foods are great, I use them sometimes with the real sick ones.

I am curious though,, did the vet give her calcium injections? And also why they did not send you home with subcue fluids to inject in her.

They gave us some liquid calcium to give her everyday. I asked about subcu fluids, but her vet felt the soak bath with vitamins added to the water and the app stim would get her going, along with fruit with a higher water content, or soaked in a little water, and spritzing her greens. All the vets that were in the office at the time got together to look her over and decide on treatment protocol. Check up day is tomorrow, we'll see what they have to say.

Sorry to hear about that. That's always hard.

Have you seen the iguana caresheet on this site?
http://reptileguides.herpcenter.com/...-t39.html?t=39

The listing of foods here is a really good one, and should definitely be looked at. It's probably good that Freya doesn't like spinach. It's not really very good for her. The best things to feed her will be dark greens, like collard or mustard greens, along with vegetables like squashes.

She looks like she's doing great so far since she's come to you. I hope she's able to further recover in your care.
