Oh my,,, my head is going to spin!!!! I was blessed enough this morning to wake up to a box on my doorstep, or should I say I tripped over this morning.
Inside this box contains 6 iguanas,,,,, 2 DEAD Obviously froze to death sitting on my doorstep, juvenile iguanas.....
I have the other 4 sitting in the bath tub right now in luke warm water and the bodies of the other two in the box. I am seeing some green come back in two of them .
Can you believe this,,,, I am going tp pull my hair out. I have to call animal control in a while.
add this to the already million I have,, unfortunately animal control is going to have to take them as I am not set up for this many more at the moment.

Who does this in the middle of winter!!!!!

Someone who doesn't have the slightest clue how to take care of their iguanas? Maybe someone who bought a bunch of them to impress his buddies then decides he doesn't want them anymore?

I can't begin to understand them. I'm sorry you have to deal with people just dumping animals on you all the time.

well it froze here last night,, I had to thaw out the car windows,, to me thats teh middle of winter for an iguana to be sitting in. I dont think that someone had babies around here,, they are obviously not from the same litter,, they are different sizes of juvenile.
I have gotten a lot of calls lately for iguanas,, and told them no,, its almost as if a bunch of people who had iguanas got together and then dumped them

some people just disgust me!

Wow, Your sucker sign is over your door also!!! LOL. I just can't believe that was done. I really feel for you, it''s hard to turn away the ones in need. You do so much good, don't it affect you too much. Fine words, I know I can't live by them! It's just outrageous what some people do.

update: Animal control has taken the 4 remaining live iguanas and the bodies of the other two. The shelter here has already called to ask what they were supposed to do with them, lol. One of the ladies is coming by to pick up some Mega Rays and the ultimate iguana owners manual, oh and some greens. But that is as far as I could help them, besides with some advice. I am so glad they are no kill shelter. But, boy are they in for a rude awakening when they are done taking them to the vet. I imagine the phone will ring off the hook here from them. However it is as I explained when they got the snake in ,,,,,,if I wasnt paying so many vet bills on these cats,then I would have more money freed up to help the reptiles, I imagine it will be only a matter of time before they find "room " for the cats and then I could find room for the one that needs a lot of help.
Very frustrating to me,,, Iguanas dumped and nowhere anywhere for me to put them at the moment I just have to remember I cannot save the world
