I'll probably take some pictures of my hand once it heals a little more. It will probably scar pretty nicely. It needs stitches, but they won't put any in for fear of bacterial infection. Yikes, huh?

That is weird, I've never heard that one before. If they cleaned it real good with saline solution and betadine, plus oral antibiotics there is less chance of infection.

Yup. Saline and betadine. I had to soak my hand for twenty minutes, then they (finally) decided to numb my hand, which was EXCRUCIATING. Then they rinsed it out with more saline, and wrapped it in a bandage.
The doctor told me that they couldn't stitch it up because they were afraid of a bacterial infection. I don't know if that's just the typical lousy Culpeper hospital care, (they are known for misdiagnosing) or if it's an accurate assesment.

Hoh yeah. I take my pain meds half an hour before hand, but it's still quite a long and pain filled process. It takes about five minutes, but it seems like two years!
