New iguana

I finally got that iguana I wanted. I know most of you will be irritated that I didn't adopt, but I wanted make sure I didn't do anything wrong to an iguana that used to belong to someone else, like improper care. I got him from an exotic pet store just outside of the city. Like I said, I know most of you will be irritated at my choice, but it's kind of late to change my mind. I named the hatchling "Midas". No not the automotive repair shop. I'll get photos up as soon as possible!

Re: New iguana

I'll put pics up sometime today, when I can get the camera. Thanks for the congrats, but I have this feeling my life is officially over. The cage it's in right now is temporary! Mainly because the plastic screen I got has a grid thats too big and the iguana might climb through it. Also, I'm just wondering, why is it that fresh shredded mustard and dandelion greens smell so horrid? I was just making his/her food when I decided to sign into the forum.

In my book, when something smells bad, it tastes worst.

Re: New iguana

I finally got pics of the future self-proclaimed ruler of the house

No clue why he is lounging there, it doesn't look comfortable.

The temporary cage that Midas hails from, it is a 29 gallon terrarium that will be replaced by a 4 foot wide by 4 foot long by 6 feet high custom cage in a couple of months.
