lesson learned, the hard way

Last night I went to the store and baby Dragon was out like always basking under her lamp. My hubby and the kids went on a bike ride. I was gone all of 30 minutes and I get a call, "where is Baby Dragon" She was basking when I left, I told him look under Ziggys cage, no Dragon. He says I left the front door open for only a couple of minutes while I put the bike away

I rushed home no Dragon, I spent almost 5 hours outside looking for her, to no avail. I made a report to the sherriff and the local police dept, incase they get any calls about giant lizards, I reported to animal control, nothing so far.

Police dept informs me, if they find her there is a 500.00 fine, I reply GOOD and HE will pay it! I just hope they find her! She is sick, I am so worried I cannot sleep, eat, and my hubby and I are not on speaking terms !

If anyone has any advice on how to find her please help me I am desperate! I have never had this happen before!

Go to all your neighbours beside you and behind you. Tell them to look out for him and to inform you if they see him.

Re: lesson learned, the hard way

I have and they have all been kind enough to let me look through their backyards again this morning. I am just so lost. It was about 55 degrees here last night, so that is not good. She will not be very active right now wherever she is. This is awful!

There's not a whole lot else you can do unless you put up some lost posters with a reward. Until it warms up he's going to find a secure place to hang out. I rescued a Bearded Dragon one time 3 weeks after it had escaped. It was found one down the street a bit hiding in the garage. It was October and he did all right.
