Congrats on the iguana

yeah Thanks!i will cover the ceramic emiter.and I dont know I gotta measure it,i dont think its a year old I think maybe 6 months,dunno ill see.but omg yesterday I made him take a shower,and everything was going fine.but I think he got a cold idk I think he has like mucus on his nose or something,i gotta take hi mto the vet asap though!man,already m yfirst fault I hope hes ok.....actually it may not even have a cold,maybe im overreacting cause can it really get sick from one bath?i mean its eating normally and such first I gotta go check out symptoms of a cold,i still gotta take him to the vet though for a checkup.any suggestions/or should I take him to the vet

oh my ig is like 16 inches snouth to tail.im guessing 3 months?maybe 4?oh I dont think he has a cold anymore......hes eating well and such.what are some common symptoms?

Its hard to tell age by how long they are. I know they can get upper respiratory infections but I dont know about colds.

well idk how do you get those?by just one bath?cause its been sneazing alot lately and I think its scared of me now cause he thinks hes gonna get another shower,when I just wanna get him outside to clean his cage and get hi msome sun

Respiratory infections are usually brought on by the animal being kept too cool. They require warmth for their immune systems to work properly. I doubt that a single bath would cause one unless it was really cool for quite an extended period.
Its normal for an iguana to sneeze. It is how they rid themselves of excess salts.
Iguana keepers refer to it as "snalt". A combination of snot and salt!

thank you for relieving my worries!now I know for sure hes not sick.cause I only gave him a bath that time and it was pretty sunny.and he eats and poops properly so dont think hes sick.only thing I was worried about was the sneezing,but I had read somewhere that thats how they get rid of salt.but I thought something was up with him. i ordered heatray and a reptarium 175 gallon(itll do for a year or so,we will be emptyng out the little room next to the garage in around 6 months or so I hope.
