I am aware that I cannot save them all, it is definately a harsh reality, but reality none the less.

I do some teaching on the proper care of the green iguana, and what to expect from them as a pet. We have a local ma and pa shop where I am from that has an anniversarry weekend once a year with a lot of different vendors and seminars on certain things that I am supposed to start teaching at this spring. Sounds great to me because he always runs the 10$ green iguana special and people snatch them right up without being aware of what they are really getting in terms of size and temperment.
I like the fact that the owner wants me to bring in a couple of different size igs with different temperments and different problems to show exactly what you are getting and what can happen with improper care. Hopefully that will educate a few and save a few. If it works to save just one then I have accomplished something
I do notice that most iguanas that come in in need of serious care is usually from the owner lacking knowledge and was given incorrect information at the store where they purchased it. However there are a few that are just plain out cruel and mean people.
The only thing I can do is just take it day by day and keep improving my education and knowledge on reptiles, and help the ones I can help.
Still dreaming about that giant shop and unlimited funds..............
