I turn my lights on at 7:30am when I get up to get ready for the bus for school and then they go off at 9:30 pm when I am relaxing watching tv. I don't have them on a timer. I just never leave him alone at home and when I go on trips I either bring him with me or just get someone I really really trust to take care of him. I never take his humidifier out of his tank. it is a warm mist humidifier and works great for his heat and humidity all day long. i might have to get a new one though becuase this one has been tempermental lately and shutting off and turning on when it wants too.
