Tank not hot enough!!
My Iguana tank doesn't seem hot enough. It is always at 20 centigrade, and never gets any warmer then that. I obviously have a light and an electric Blancket in there. Is there anything else reccomended to make it warmer.

Are you saying you have an electric blanket inside the cage? Get that out of there! That is an electroction and fire hazard just waiting to happen! 20C is nowhere NEAR warm enough for the iguana. What type of cage are you using and what wattage/type of light are you using.

So where does the heat mat go then?? The cage size is 45 x 45 x 60. And the light is about 230 V and it is a florecent tube. |

In order to help with the issues, we need to know everything about the enclosure. What type is it, what wattage is the light. You said heat blanket, not heat mat, vey confusing, lol.

The Tank is 45 x 45 x 60 and is made by a company in the Canary Islands called ReptiSelva. The lighting is a Florecent tube 2.0. And it is a Heat MAT. And the Tank and all of the lighting and the Heat Mat, all came in a kit.

A heat mat and a heat blanket are two very different things. And most heat mats go under the tank. And neither are that great for heating an iguana.
A flourescent tube does not supply heat only light. Is the animals in an aquarium? Please give us a detailed description of the enclosure as well as the brand name on the light and the heat mat The more information we have to go with the more likely we can help you solve your problem And most pet shops will sell you anything to get you to buy the animal Is the enclosure glass like an aquarium or is it screen? If your measurements are correct it is way too small for even a baby iguana. That is part of your taming problem the animal feels trapped. Also that 2.0 light is insufficent as a UVB source. You need at least a 5.0. Is this your enclosure? Animalots - Tiendas de animales y mascotas. Alimentación, accesorios, perros, gatos, hurones...

This enclosure is totally inadequate for an iguana,... its too small! The minimum size cage should be at least twice as long as the animal and an adult ig needs a cage at the minimum of 5ft (154cm)x 3ft (91cm) by 6ft (183cm)tall! The the bark substrate not only poses a resk of impaction but damage to the claws. The 2.0 light is not strong enough for an iguana, you need at least a 5.0 and it must be with 12 inches of the animal to do any good, The screen top also filters out a lot of the UVB light making the bulb even less useful.
Please read our iguana care articles located here http://www.herpcenter.com/a/ There are a lot of things that need to be addressed. Proper husbandry will assist your taming greatly!
