Ok well I have an iguana about 2 years old and now for some reson we were givin a bird now I was wondering if I could put them in the same cage.my cage is big exspeacaily for the iguanas size/it is my extra big closet se he has ALOT of room and the cage them gave me for the bird is like the size of a mcdonalds bag.i lat him in there earlyer and they were fine and it even landed on my iguana and she just layed there then later I gave her food and the bird just sat there and ate some with her.....yep hoffaly I can post some pics tomorrow to give you guy and girls a better idea of waht im talking about

ABSOLUTELY NOT! You shouldn't mix species therre are far too many things that can go wrong and endanger the life of either animal. also you need to consider the fact that each animal has individual care needs and you cannot effectivly meet both animals needs while they are housed together. Also iguanas can be territorial and may injure or even kill the bird just because it is in its personal space.

I'm with Lacey! Absolutely not!
The ig would most likely kill the bird.
And the birds seed would pose an impaction danger for the ig.

No, No, No! The bird could get tail whipped or the bird will bite (and they hurt) the iguana, besides cross contamination with the poops!

i agree no mixing animals. i have had my iguana for about a week or two and would like some info on how to build a suitable housing for the iguana. i don't have very much money either so if someone could help me with that that would be great thanks.

Ya I agree with everyone else. I do not own an iguana or bird but I an already know they have to be seperate.

If the enclosure is big enough. Can you split it with a divider? Preferably one that is not see through.
