ig with a police record
My 5 year old ig, Fluffy, escaped the confines of her fenced-in yard last Saturday. She moved one of the huge paving bricks that line the fence, dug a hole about 4 inches deep, and crawled out. I was in the shed working on her new cage, and didn't realize it. She walked down the street, attracting a crowd of young college guys. At the corner of a very busy street, they finally wrangled her into a dog carrier and took her to the police station. It took me about 3 hours to retrace her steps, going door to door and finding each person who knew something more than the last person. I knocked on a door and found a young fellow with shredded arms, and I knew he was the one. I finally got to the police station, after being out of my mind and frantic. I pulled her from the carrier and plopped her on my shoulder. She seemed very pleased with herself. The police insisted I sign for her "just in case it happened again". The strange thing I learned later, is that there is a male ig living right across the street from where she wandered to.
The moral of this story is: don't trust your ig when she's in season.

Hello,
LOL! If it happens again, which hopefully it doesn't, you can always rely on the police to give you a ring!
