By the way, no I haven't clipped her nails yet. I don't think she's ready for that because it's hard to keep her still when doing things to her. If she's picked up, allowed to settle down, she's still on my hand or forearm but you never know when she may start thrashing about and it is too dangerous now to try to clip anything near those delicate fingers.

Anthony when you clip the nails on a young one you have to restrain them. This too is part of their socialization. Simplest thing with a young feisty one is to wrap them in a towel with just a foot sticking out. And it helps if there are two sets of hands but you can do it by yourself if you are careful.

Anthony, I have had Gandhi since OCT 31 and he has grown 6 or 7 inches since then. Just this past month we were able to confirm his gender, as his femoral pores enlarged and he began defending his territory by poofing out his jowls and bobbing/shaking his head. Very Cute. He is 7 inches snout to vent length and 25 inches snout to tail length (but is just finishing a full body shed, so will need remeasuring).
As for nail trimming, I usually do only a few toes at a time so he doesnt get too thrashy but I also have help from my boyfriend-he holds Gandhi (usually be the window where he can look out) and I contort into funny positions around him to trim the nail without moving him too much. It was a lot easier than I expected it to be.
