Those Boas sure can have some big teeth, I have not had the "good luck" of being tagged by a big boid yet. I almost want to just get bit by a big 10' plus snake, just to get it out of the way. I find its usualy easier to handle an animal when its already bit me, its like, ehh, well at least I know the worst to come. lol.
Though personaly i've never really found iguanas all that intimidating, there big, but from what ive seen, the tail whips worse then anything else they can dish out.
Though that opinion may be due in large part to the fact I think I may truly be more boneheadedly stubborn then any ig. lol.

I dont find the iguanas intimidating at all. I am the same type of person, lol. It is a challenge at times though with some of them. The worst bite I ever had though came from a full grown male iguana. It required many many stitches and left a horrible scar on the inner thigh. I would much rather be whipped then bit by one, Although they do leave nice welts and if hit the right way can cut you open, but not as bad as the bite in my experience, lol. That was just the worst bite I have had, I have had many others that did not require stitches (thankfully)

didnt know the ig bites were that bad, ive only been bit by an ig once, and was whipped by the same ig, his tail hurt me alot more then his bite did, granted he had a Huge tail. Biggest ig i've ever seen in real life. Granted, he bit my fist, probaly didnt really catch any meat, and then on a seperate encounter whipped me on my bare arm, right on the bottom. thleft a welt.
I think im less intimidated by the igs, cause its kinda like a monitor, and ill scoop a 4' hissing monitor up without thinking twice, a big snake opens its mouth at me and I grab the gloves. lol.

Don't let them fool you!
A large ig can do some seriously major damage with a bite! Far more of a concern than just a tail whip.
We are talking emergency room hospital damage! Their teeth are exactly like those of a SHARK!
I know of at least one keeper who had their finger "de-gloved" (and yes it means exactly what you think it does!) and others who suffered nerve damage as a result of ig bites.

That does'nt look fun. Makes me wonder why my friends iguanas bite was'nt bad at all. Must not of put too much force behind it.

Yes,...now imagine if it was a hostile aggressive bite.
I have been hit by a 14 ft retic and I will take that over the bite of a large aggressive ig any day of the week!
