Re: New Juvenile Iguana

You came in here looking for answers. A LOT of people come in looking for answers. A LOT of people think they have the perfect set-up. A LOT of people find out they are WRONG. Dodging the questions makes one wonder if everything is as it should be. A LOT of people are taking the time to try and help you - some with more than lengthy suggestions, offers, and tips. Common courtesy would offer it back - and it could greatly benefit your iguana.

Temperatures vary. Borrowing a thermometer, giving it back and then just assuming that the temps will never fluctuate is not a good idea. Unless you have everything set on a good thermostat the temperatures are going to rise and fall relative to the ambient temperatures in the room.

Don't be so sure of yourself! You have already demonstrated that, in spite of all your research, you didn't know quite as much as you thought you did.
And you have repeatedly evaded the question as to what type of UVB light you are using.
Ok so the ig is eating. That doesn't meant that there are not other subjects that may need to be addressed. The questions that you are being asked are being asked for a reason. Prismwolf, like many of us, has been doing this for a long time. We routinely see beginners making the same errors and not realizing it so we try to head them off before they get into trouble.

Re: New Juvenile Iguana

Yeah Like the others said he needs to settle in first befoure he will turn his back on you to eat and you should deffinetly not handle him straight away to him you are a big monster and you should not hand feed to often they might start to rely on it
