How big is your ig? Can you tell us a little about your set up?

Nicole is right, the more you tell us the more we can help.
How long have you had him?
How big is the cage?
How big is he?
What's his diet?
UVB lighting?
etc.

Re: help i need help in making my ig like me
If your avatar pic is of your iguana, then you need lots of time and patience. He's just a hatchling, and in the wild would be prey for larger animals. He thinks of you as a larger animal who wants to eat him.
If you JUST got him, as in this weekend, give him a week or two to settle in. Of course you'll have to enter his enclosure to feed, water, and clean, but leave it at that. After a few weeks we can give you more help.
By the way, for the safety of your iguana you need to remove the bark substrate and use papertowels or newspaper.

My thought exactly Steph.
Matthew, first concentrate on getting everything set up correctly and the husbandry, diet etc worked out. Check out our iguana care material in our Articles section. Give the ig a little time to settle in to the new home before messing with it. And then take it slowly and gently.
Just remember, this is a wild animal and in the Iguana's eyes you are this big ugly monster that lumbers around scaring it and may even be intending to eat it! It takes time and patience for the ig to learn you are not a threat.

Just to throw my two cents in, Don't think so much of your Iguana liking you as much as getting it to "Tolerate" you.

Re: help i need help in making my ig like me
It takes a lot, *a lot* of patience. Some iguanas will warm up to you fairly quickly. Some never will.
I agree with the others. First, make sure you get the habitat correct. Check out the care sheet on iguanas here: http://reptileguides.herpcenter.com/...-t39.html?t=39
After that's worked out, give him a week or two with very minimal interaction. Put him in a low traffic area of the house, and don't try to handle him. Just leave food and water for him. When he seems to be a little more comfortable with you, take things slowly. Handle him for a few minutes a day, and try to make it around the same time each day. As he gets to see that you aren't going to hurt him, he'll become more comfortable and calm a little. Extend this time just a little as he becomes more comfortable. You may try hand feeding him a few leaves, which will help him to see you as a friend.
You just need to be exceedingly patient and understand that the goal is to make the iguana feel safe above all else.

And please note: it will most likely take the better part of a year before s/he makes any indication that s/he trusts you. Your part is to be patient and consistent.
