Samson has become MEAN
Samson has recently turned into a real terror. You cant even walk by his habitat without him puffing up at you, and if you stop and look thru the glass he starts trying to whip you with his tail. I GUESS this is because its that time of the year for him, but I kind of expected that to be during the spring.
Before he was pretty mild mannered and didn't mind being handled or anything.

Is Samson's sex 100% confirmed? He has some sort of feminine features...At first glace I thought female so I just thought I should ask. His dewlap is pretty masculine, but his sub-tympanic scale is pretty small and undefined...How about a shot of his pores?

No, not 100% confirmed. I go back and fourth trying to determine male or female.
He (or she) doesn't have very prominent femoral pores which leads me to believe he is a she. but then other things like the dewlap make me think male. I'm leaning more towards female lately tho, now that I have been looking into it more. I'll try and get a shot of his/her pores.

I'd say that Samson is more of a Samantha and if that is the case you need to start thinking about suitable egg laying sites.

For comparison, Dizzys pores at about 18months old.

I would tend to lean toward female myself. Small sub-tympanic scale and no sign of "brain bumps".
You really can't judge by the dewlap. My girl Zok has a large dewlap.
