Is there a point that you start to feed every other day?
My ig Liv used to gobble significant amounts of food everyday and poop once or twice a day. It's less than a year old, but already 41 inches snout to tail length.
Recently, its been pooping every 2 or 3 days instead. Holding it and letting a rip. It would eat a huge amount one day, and waste all the food the next day, only eating one bite. Its not impacted because it lets a rip and poops a 10 inch long turd on the days it poops, and I don't think its gravid as it doesn't refuse food completely but eats huge amounts on selected days.
I have also noticed that its growth rate has slowed down a bit in recent weeks.
Is there a point of time in their development that you should start feeding less frequently? and if so, is this it? I would think it would be suited to its current eating pattern, but hey it's only 10 months old or so. I can't see that it's growth is slowing already. Or is this just a phase? I'm wasting so much veggies on some days that I'm sure the farmers will be knocking on my door soon.
PS I may add that although before it does seem to eat more after it has pooped, emptying itself before meals, I don't think the every few days pooping is causing the eating pattern disruption. It pooped today, but only ate a little tiny bit. So the huge eating days don't coincide with the pooping days always.
