Which brand of reptile specific vitamin powders?

Ok so far I have been using crushed up centrum once a week. But I sort of just take care of it each time, and I crush a tablet, sprinkle a bit and then look for something to store the rest, but always end up throwing it away.
I'm getting a little tired of crushing the tablets etc. and sort of want to use something that is already in powdered form like the calcium I use (Rep-Cal Calcium no D3). Which is the best brand available?

I have read the ingredients of herptivite but I am really NOT impressed.
I can also get Rep-Pro's Vita Max and Zoo med's Reptivite multivitamins. Upon reading the label I seem to think that Zoo Med's one is really good but I want to run it by you experts.

Hello,

Check out Rep-Cals site. They have some great supplements. I use their line.

Rep-cal's is herptivite. I currently use their rep-cal pellets and their calcium with no D3 and think they are absolutely great, which prompted me to check out their herptivite at the store. However, like I said in the original post, I wasn't impressed with their Herptivite. It doesn't really have a complete variety of vitamins and instead they add amino acids and proteins in it with a few vitamins. Was looking for something else. But thanks.

I'm using TetraFauna ReptoCal right now. It has calcium and D3 and my Iggies seem to like it ok.

Anthony,

If you are using the RepCal iguana food you may not need to add anymore vitamin supplements. I myself quit adding the multivitamins when I started using the pellets.

Marie, yes, but the problem is she doesn't eat a lot of the pellets. A lot gets wasted because she doesn't directly eat them. Just accidentally eats some that gets stuck on the leaves of the greens. I still give it to her because even if she gets only a little of them she still gets some benefit.

If you have a food processer or some sort of grinder, you could grind the whole bottle and maybe use the same bottle to store it. Or you could use some small storage bowl. Just a thought.

I too use the Repcal. Both calcium and herpavite. Since some vitamins in their pure form, vitamin A for instance are easily overdosed to toxic levels they use other ingredients so that the animal can safely extract what it actually needs.
