Alfalfa pellets

I've been using rep-cal pellets for a few months now on Bob's salad and am thinking about adding alfalfa back to Bob's diet. Does anyone know if there is an alfalfa pellet about the same size as rep-cal pellets which can be soaked in much the same way?

As you know I am in Hong Kong so it may be different. But I have not seen alfalfa pellets the size of ADULT rep cal pellets. Does Bob eat alfalfa willingly? Liv won't eat them, nor even eat at all any food that is mixed with them in it.

I use the powdered alfalfa from the heath food store, I put it into a salt shaker and add it at every other feeding. Dizzy eats it fine. I also put his calcium and vitamins into salt and pepper shakers, it works great. I need to buy some nutribac, and that might get put into a shaker too. I think it makes more sense to my mom or sister then they make the lizard food when i'm away if I can give measured amounts like 'two shakes of the green stuff in the shaker with the blue lid' rather than me saying 'a light dusting, like a PINCh, but not too much....blah blah blah'
My family already thinks im crazy because I leave a binder full of information and about 20 emergency numbers when I leave for 2 nights....

Zok doesn't really care for the taste of the alfalfa pellets so I mix it up with her fruit and veggies mix. You can get larger pellets if you go to someone that supplies food for rabbits. Be careful as some of the cheaper varieties have an animal protien filler. If you get the kind used for show rabbits it cannot have animal filler in it or they would get disqualified.
And when you wet the alfalfa pellets, unlike the repcal, they do not stay pelletized but turn to mush!

Ahhhhh this conversation answered my ?..thank you very much.
I own Rabbits as well as the Iguana. I feed Iggy a 1/8 cup of rabbit pellets a week (won't eat them dry but devours them as mush). Was wondering if this was ok..guess it is huh?
My son thought I was nuts for giving an Iguana Rabbit pellets but hey, I know what's in it even if son doesn't..lol

Birdlady ~ many common ig diets have alfalfa as a staple part of the diet. It is a great source of protein.

I don't usually use it because I hate working with the dried stuff. I do, however, grow it in out of the way areas of the lawn when I have access to one because my ig loves it when fresh.
