Water
The water I use in the water dish as well as for misting. I can use regular Tap water straight from the tap, right? All the articles just say make sure he has enough humidity, water dish that allows him to soak in etc. but I don't know if I need just normal tap water or is that not ok? Do I need to boil it first or use commercial mineral water?

Hello,
Unless your water is horribly polluted coming from the tap, it is fine.

My pets all get tap water, most people go by the rule that if they'll drink the tap water so can their pets.

I use Reptisafe water conditioner to take the chlorine out of the water just to be safe. But I use tap water as well.

If you can drink the water from the tap there is no problem with using it for your lizard.
While it is good to keep humidity up in the cage it is much more important to keep the lizard hydrated (water in the lizard). You should keep your ig's salad dripping wet when in his cage. You can go as far as mix it in a bowl of water and just pick up the handfulls of salad and put them right in the food dish. I usually end up with nearly a centimeter of water in the bottom of my igs full size dinner plate food dish.
