I would stay away from silk as they can be accidentally ingested. I keep a couple of hybiscus plants around, the only problem is they end up getting stripped of their foliage pretty quick and it takes a while to regrow.

There are tons of safe plants to use. I have used fake plants for years in my cages. I have never had the problem of accidental ingestion...but it CAN happen. On another list just recently a woman had pulled a silk leaf from her very large igs mouth.
The list of safe live plants is fairly large...you just have to be aware of the problems of shredded plants and them not lasting long. Hanging plants: Spider Plants Wandering Jew Potted plants: Ficus Hens and chicks Hibiscus (they LOVE this one) Impatiens Nasturtium Pansies Prickly Pear Spiderwort Violets (not African) Non-ornamental grape There are more...but these are mostly the ones where the flowers and leaves are edible. Some plants have only the edible flowers. You could grow a whole flower garden for your ig... ![]()

I have used artificual vines for years. Zok tongue flicked them and went YUCK! Never bothered them again. There is the danger of anything being eaten. I suggest trying Zair with the leaves while out of the cage and see what his reaction is.
