This about 2.5 feet of collards. Most of it will spoil before it gets eaten. but, It only cost me a whopping $1.98!

If I was truely trying to concoct a southern dish, The menu would be a choice between Fried chicken, Fried steak, or Country style ham with a side of Black eyed peas, Mashed potatoes and gravy, and a choice between collard or turnip greens (seasoned with bacon). Don't EVER forget about a big 'ol slab of Skillet cooked, buttered cornbread! Mmmmmm' mmm!

Re: Collard Greens

Down here we call it "Poke Salad" and the story goes you have to boil poke salad three times before you can eat it!(Toxins) and it grows everywhere, Not just the river bottom! It's in my backyard right now! No river in sight. It is definetly a Po' Mans food!

Re: Collard Greens

I've upgraded Dizzy's food dish 3 times in 3 months from an 8 inch dog dish to a 12 inch pie pan that wasn't very deep and now he's got a 9x9 cake pan, i'm hoping that will suffice because I'll have to build a new cage to fit a 9x13 pan!

Re: Collard Greens

I had to laugh too. There will come a time when you wish all you needed was one bunch!
