One of the teachers I work with has a small Iggy, she was feeding only leaf lettuce. I tried to give her a list of the good food vs the bad food. Finally, I just borough in a care package for the little guy with all the good food. He ate it right down, so what I'm saying is try to stick to the basics in good food to begin with then try adding other thing to the diet.

My Ig did not eat for a long time when she was a baby. I was really worried because she was getting terribly thin. An experienced owner on another site recommended a product called Bene-Bac (found in the bird section of the petstore) which is acidophyllis and lacto-bacilli. I carefully syringe fed it, mixed with mango baby food and a little water, for three days and she slowly started to show interest in eating. She is now 18 months old and cleans her plate. The theory is that they need bacteria in the gut to help digest food, which they usually get from ingesting feces from an adult. I don't know if this is strictly true, but it worked. I now have a plump fiesty little lady.
