Jade It sure sounds like breeding season aggression to me and the time of year is right. This is going to be a dangerous time with him due to the fact that his behavior may take radical swings. Do not trust him! You are going to have to really keep an eye on him. Keep him away from your face and watch your fingers! But DO NOT let him intimidate you. You have to remain top dog!
And secure that cage! When they are breeding they tend to want to get out and wander.

Boy ain't that that truth!! My Zair got out yesterday, but his breeding seasons are pretty mild as long as no other iguana is in the house. Rehabbing during breeding season gets colorful. Very orange and head-bobbing igs.

Sounds like your Z is definitely in breeding season. Merlin gave you the warnings...definitely heed them...

eep I just noticed how bad my spelling is on the keyboard I cant hit the right keys or something,
well I hope he doesnt last too long with his season I dont see how he'll ever except regualr human contact at this rate im going to go cheack the cage again and see I can find out how he's escapeing it I think ever time I find the spot he's getting out through he goes and finds another place to make a hole. *sigh* oh well this is what I signed up for when I adopted him
atleast he's not big enough to intimadate me I dopnt think i'll have trouble staying ontop should I continue everyday contact just being alot more careful about it?

Definitely continue handling him! Breeding season can last through March easily. Just stay on top of him...watch his teeth...and you will come through this... .

I agree. Continue to CAREFULLY handle. Unless it gets to a point where you just are unable to. There are certain large males that have to be confined thru the entire breeding season. Luckily Zair is still small enough to be controlled easily!
