You would have gotten an appropriate answer if you clearly stated that you were only going to be incubating 2 or 3 eggs. Almost every respectable and knowledgeable member of every reptile forum would have replied in the same manner as Rich and Lyn. We all know how overpopulated the world is with iguanas, Rich and Lyn were trying to save the lives of the iguanas that would hatch from those eggs. I do not see why you are getting so upset. In your next posts you could have just politely said that you were misunderstood, were only incubating 2-3 eggs, knew of people that would take them when they hatched, and needed information on incubating them, instead of going off on a rant. I am sorry to say I do not know about iguanas or the incubation of iguana eggs, I am sure that Rich, Lyn, or another one of the iguana "gurus" will reply promptly with the information you need. I do not mean to offend you, I hope you understand the stance that Rich, Lyn, and I have taken. Good luck with the eggs.

Iguana Guru

Well as an iguana guru, I have never incubated eggs, but I own IGuanas for Dummies by Melissa Kaplan and Green Iguana The Ultimate Owners Manual and they each have an extensive breeding section and egg hatching section...That is as close as it gets for me...and hey, we dont mean any harm...we are passionate about our lizards...nothing personal....Lyn

Yeah, we got started on the wrong foot here, didn't we?

Let's all start over again and be friends. I'll hop over to the "buddies" thread and introduce myself and our iggies over there.

Dominick, thank you for your understanding and clarification. You, too, Merlin.

Lyn, thanks for the book recommendations, I'll pick up one or both on Friday.

Hi Rocmills-

So glad to hear that!

Not to mention you live in one of my favorite places on earth! I have an account there (Terrible Herbst) I visit once every month or two. I just love it there, such a cool place. And great herping going on out there.

Thanks for the reply.

Dominick,

Great herping in Vegas? Do tell! I've only been here three years - and most of that time was spent being a newlywed and looking for a job. I've not found any herp groups here in town, so any clues you might give me would be greatly appreciated!
