That's amazing! I didn't know they could change that fast. I thought they gradually turned orange over a period of days, and then stayed that way till breeding season was over. lol, I haven't dealt with adult male igs much

Rex is 7 years old. We've raised him from a tiny little iglet.

BTW, that's Rex on the HC Banner.

Orange, what about that green color?

Orange heck, I am amazed at how green he is in the pic from back in July. Bob has not been that green for years. How is the aggression so far, is it looking like another generally bad year?

Oh no. Rex is never aggressive anymore. His breeding season is identified in a change in behavior that has him searching the house daily, scratching at the back door for hours on end and generally getting into trouble any way he can.

He's never been aggressive since the very first horrible heat and then never again after that.

It's the wander-lust that is annoying as heck! Almost daily he comes off his cage and wanders the house knocking everything over that he can, searching every hole, nook and cranny, and disturbing every single rug in the house that is anywhere near a door.

In "normal times" he might come off his cage once a day to poop on the paper, but he rarely wanders around the house.

I've threatened him with an enclosure several times this week. The mess he makes everyday is getting quite annoying.

That's because he just KNOWS that somewhere you have hidden a lucious female iggy just waiting for him to come and sweep her off her feet with his masculine charms!!

Here, Here.

I had to carry through with the threat last year. Bob cleaned off my desk and plant shelf, destroyed the carpet in one corner when digging at the door, and broke a window. Bob is only aggressive outside (I think that is territorial), but how much can a little iguana (well 8+ pound) push off a shelf, knock over, up root, spill, and generally make a mess of.

In that first pic you posted is that terrarium only a plant cage or is an animal in there?
