Oh...
That's a lovely thought; something to look forward to, thanks!
I found the directions for making him his own "sex toy" - maybe I'll go buy him a pair of socks! As for the discoloration on his spikes, it is such a small amount that it would be hard to get in a picture, I think. I can try, at some point, when he is out later. Merlin, you had commented (in another post) about fat stores in an iguana's tail. What were you referring to there? His new enclosure is coming along well. Unfortunately, and as per Murphy's Law, things happened that stole some of the building supplies, as well as extra funds, so it is not ending up as large as we wanted it to be. We are going to have to do additions again, but it will definitely be better than what he is in (that aquarium), when he's not running around getting into trouble, that is! And, you were right again, he had nothing to do with those canned greens. I will be spending a portion of my day today calling around to see if anyone carries the fresh stuff. We have a local health store, so I will have to see if they can help. Unfortunately, the small town that I live in does not offer much ethnic diversity, so there is small chance that I will find too much. I will most likely have to do some traveling. Gives me an excuse to get out to the closest "cities" and do some shopping! Thanks again! |

Thanks; that is pretty interesting. Now that you answer that, I think that I had read it somewhere before, but it just didn't click. I guess that I'll have to check his tail out and see if it looks fat!

Uh oh...
Well, I had told you that Indy has seemed fine, all except the little nipping incident with my husband, but that all changed yesterday. My sister came over for a visit and when she walked past his enclosure, he came right down from that basking area and was at the sides pacing. When she went over and got closer to look at him, he started biting at her! I was amazed by this and a bit amused. That is...until I left and came back later and he did the same thing to me! Think I may just have to keep my eyes open when he is roamng around the house later today and watch what color socks I decide to wear!
