Re: I Got One Now!

Can someone tell me the differance between a:

Ceratophrys ornata (Argentine Horned Frog)
and
Ceratophrys cranwelli (Cranwell's Horned Frog)

I think I need to let the store know because Lump is supposedly Ceratophrys ornata but looks more like Ceratophrys cranwelli.

Amphibiancare.com >> Horned (Pacman) Frog (Ceratophrys cranwelli and C. ornata ) Care

They are nearly the same though one has bigger horns than the other. Yours has smaller horns, so I guesed it was a cranwali. I have no idea if they perhaps develop them as they grow. Wait and see!

Re: I Got One Now!

They're all lumps lol!

But hey, arn't they supposed to eat at night?

Lump dosen't eat overnight. He never goes over were the crickets are, and he never goes to his water.

I feed him around noon and use a chopstick to push the crickets to him. lol He wants to eat the chopstick.

Do you think it would be fine to not put crickets in until it's feeding time instead of putting them in there overnight?

I put oats in there for the crickets, but some of them are hiding underneath lump. Do you think they may be munching on him? I can't tell the skin looks normal.

Re: I Got One Now!

I toss in a carrot with my crickets around 10:00 at night, since Meatball won't eat in front of me. He wont eat off tongs. He won't eat if there is any light.

I'd try some sort of veggie over oats for the crickets.

And I have seen Meatball ONCE in the water dish. I think he fell in and was having a hard time getting out. He's such a clutz.
