Today, I went to check on my new buddy. I look and look, but I cant see any evidence of an animal. My anxiety level clicked up a few notches before I finally saw where he was.



It took my eyes a while to finally see where was. I was very relieved that he hadn't escaped.

I was thinking there's no way this animal who has the body of a bear, but with the legs of a chihuahua, Could jump out of his tank.

hahaha I hate that feeling! happened to me on many occasions...chameleons, gaboons etc etc... your heart stops for a few seconds

Cute... Under any circumstance, do not doubt their ability to jump... mine hopped right out his 10 gal aquarium to try and eat a pinki mouse that happened to be my finger....

you think that's good hiding, snack pack will sometimes burry him self completly down to the bottom of his tank(his substrate is a good 3 inches thick). it takes me a good 5 mins to turn over the soil and find him. he's still pretty small so it's a daunting task. scared me a couple of times even though I knew there was no possible way for him to have gotten out. first time it happend I was pretty puzzled.
