Meet my little Rose

Last night we got a new member in our family. Rose. She is a horned frog (Pac Man frog) Poor little (big) rose was being kept in a bucket of mud and the owner would throw a few crickets in a week. Now she has a new home a pool and nice moss to hide in and some plants. When I make my weekly run to the reptile store I will buy her some pinky mice for a nice weekly treat. My youngest daughter Grace has deciced to make Rose her own. Rose is about a year and some old and a bit bigger than your fist. Very peppy now she is not in the mud and has two different colored eyes. We are happy to have her with us.

Re: Meet my little Rose

I am very surprised at how active she is. I thought the were supposed to sit around allot doing nothing but eating. Rose hops out of her hiding spot to see what is happening every time someone goes by. And she is always watching me when I'm on the computer. When my daughter Grace is watching her she tries to get out of the habitat to either see her or eat her I'm not sure which.

Cute pac man... I have an ablino male... and he does just sit there and eat... and calls.... Sounds more like a duck than a frog lol... But they are awesome frogs congrats!

That makes me sick. I don't know how someone can justify doing that.

Did they tell you if she was wild caught or bought from a store?

She sounds like a really interesting frog. She's fortunate to have found you.

I really like Pyxie frogs (african bull frogs) but they get HUGE. Bigger than horned frogs. I have no room for that!
