The image here: The Mulch Store: Mulch Samples is similar to the cypress mulch I'm thinking of, and the composted hardwood mulch is very similar to the hardwood mulch I use. I guess I consider it fibrous with chunks in it. I've also seen stuff that's quite literally CHUNKS, which I've just found out to be Repti Bark: http://heimtierservice-kreutz.de/ima.../reptibark.jpg

As for sexing horned frogs, I'm actually not sure. I think the males may croak on occasion, but other than that I've no idea.

Matt I have never seen any cypress mulch that was strictly that fiberous. Some fiber yes but also a lot of larger peices.
I would love to find some that fine around here!

I think we had some back at the pet store I worked at years ago, but I have no idea what brand it was. Maybe your local garden supply/ landscaping store would have it. They usually have the other stuff, they might have that too

No I really don't have that problem as I hardly ever feed it to them, it's a treat! However I would not be surprised to see them stuff their veggies in the frog tanks!!
