New female beardy

Ive been looking at this girl for a month and finally decided to buy her, My male really likes her. Please excuse the sand I know its bad for them, im buying repticarpet tomorrow.

i couldn't get her colors to show up with the foreground so I put her on a piece of computer paper. She has pink on her sides its really cool.

my male kept poking the back of her neck for the first hour she was in the tank. Is this normal for introductions like this?

Maybe hes just checking her out. I really discourage you housing them together so soon as she pay be carrying a parasite load of some ohter type of sickness, just look out for messy poos and all that, ahah..you know what to look for by now
And get them off the sand!!

i trust the breeder I got her from ive been keeping tabs on her for a month. The lady I bought her from was taking very good care of her and im not too concerned about parasites. Yes the retarded sand is gone effective tomorrow no questions asked. I was wondering if anybody had any idea what morph she's close to, i wouldn't say she was a regular bearded she has quite a bit more color than that.

edit: i found this guys site that has all these different morphs, i was thinking either this

http://www.dachiu.com/gallery/tiderxredflame.jpg

or possibly this im no expert on the morphs by any stretch

http://www.dachiu.com/gallery/yellowmale.jpg

or even possibly this but again I haven't the slightest whether or not it is

I do not think they should be housed together yet. Not only for the parasites, but he is going to want to breed with her and she doesnt look big enough for that yet. How old is she? How much does she weight?

I know this sounds kinda stupid but... how do you weigh a beardy I don't have a scale that goes down that small. If my male tries to mount her i'll put her in the 22 gallon for a few months. My male is probably somewhere from 40 to fifty percent heavier, could that potentially cause her injury if he does mount her?

it can happen in a few seconds and at any time. you don't watch them constantly. while she is pretty Bearded Dragons should be quarentined (they can get stressed which causes the bad gut flora to flurish and incite parasites, so she could ahve gotten them between there and you) she looks to light and young to breed, and even then Bearded Dragons should be housed seperatly cause they can stress one another or the male will breed her to death. i know it feels like im jumping down your throat but they should not be housed together.

and the only way to tell morph (color) of a dragon is for the breeder to tell you what the parents are, and you combine those.

in that case i'll probably put her in the 22 gallon, Will those 75 watt uv bulbs be adequate for her uv or is it manditory that I use a florescent? I don't have any extra flourecent lighting fixtures, but I do have some of the metal bell shaped ones that sit on top of the tank. Also I don't think your jumping down my throat at all, id rather fix it now before it becomes a big problem.
