First full sized mouse for Tooya!

Tooya, my brazilian rainbow boa has only eaten mice as large as hoppers till today, the petstore was out of decent sized mice so I decided to get the smallest adult mouse and this is the result. I just hope that it stays down.

Just don't disturb her for a few days and make sure that her warm side temps are accurate. Offer plenty of fresh water and it should digest nicely.
Really sweet looking rainbow baby you have there!

I like him, he's got a great personality. But I'm looking into buying a nice red female from www.rainbowboas.com. Do you think he'll turn more red as he ages?

Unless something disturbs him it should stay down.
I have seen much larger prey bulges that were digested without incident.

Yes, probably. Most red species of rainbow boas darken up a lot in the first year.
The guy at rainbowboas.com, Bryan Hummel, seems really nice and knowledgeable. I've had some e-mail contact with him about Talyn.
He is specialized in breeding hypomelanistic rainbows: they are very light orangey-pink and have very thin lined markings.
Personally,I prefer the darker red species with thick black markings. But he seems like a good address to start looking if you're in the market for another Brazilian Rainbow Boa.
