I hear that they only do that in the wild and it's when they are threatened. So, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for him to do that for you but if he does then take some pics.

Does your camera have a 'macro' setting for upclose? it might help when trying to focus on Spike, because from what I can tell by the first picture is that your focus is set really far away from the lens (thats why the trucks look good, but Spike looks like a little blob)

Cute little critter. Check to see if you have Macro like Lacy suggested. Our first picture at Christmas were really fuzzy and focused wrong too. Then my husband read the instructions.

Although the pics are a little blurry, your Cordylus looks more like what I figured it would be, a tropical girdled lizard, not an armadillo lizard. Both are still girdled lizards, and in the same genus, but they're not the same species, and not from the same climate either. For more info on tropical girdleds, check out these threads:
