Thanks folks!
We've handled these guys since birth. Let me tell you, they bite like the devil for a couple weeks, but once they realize we aren't a threat, they calm down. I don't advocate handling arboreals for the sake of wanting to hold them, however when it is necessary, we have not had any of ours even act like they were going to bite, even the WC's. Of coarse cbb animals are more likely to be much calmer than WC's as they interact with humans from birth. Now if I can just figure out how to convince the new borns not to use my hands as a pin cushion! LOL
This girl actually seems to like being on us as opposed to the tree.
IMO, the secrets to handling emeralds without getting bitten are: never restrain them, never make sudden movements that could be considered a threat, make sure your perches are removable, never handle them with an audience and never try to forcefully remove them from what ever they have wrapped their tail around. NEVER EVER TRY TO HANDLE THEM WHEN THEY ARE IN HUNT MODE!
