That's a beautiful ball.
Question: is he shedding and eating at the same time? My ball won't eat anything until a day or two after he sheds.
I've heard that feeding during the blue phase can cause regurgitation (from all the muscle contractions needed to get the skin off.) So I've never tried it.
Cool pic!

He shed his eye caps before the pic was taken and before the mouse was eaten. I would never feed a live mouse to a ball in the blue phase. Just too dangerous in my opinion. He ate a day before memorial day and he had a small patch of unshed shed left on him. Some sheddding aid helped him get the shed off and some hides to rub on. He shed everything in about 4-6 days except for the patch and ate on the 4-6 day without a problem. I know he digested it perfectly fine due to the big clumb of poop on his papertwoels two-three days later.

Well, he certainly seems to be enjoying that mouse! He's a lovely BP.

I was going to ask the same question as Andrea.. I would wait until the snake has thoroughly shed before feeding.
If you are having problems with shedding, increase the humidity during shed periods, try bathing for half an hour daily during the time, and within a few sheds he should start shedding whole without problem.
Beautiful snake.

When I first adopted mine, they all had bad sheds and needed help with retained skin...
In the last 3 weeks all 4 snakes have shed and all in one piece...I was totally happy about that. So the cage must have the proper everything LOL....they all eat well too. Lyn

Thanks bitis. My bp had quite a bad ri and hshe is still recovering from it. I'm afraid soaking him for that long may get him acting up-coughing, wheezing, and sneezing wise... Shedding aid seemed to do it's job quite well.
