Rosy and Sand boas are very similar in size. Average length for a male is 2 feet and 3 feet for the female. 4 feet is a huge ground boa. Must be well taken care of and well fed. Nyoka is approaching 2 feet and growing. Very docile snakes that like to be handled.
Very much unlike an Amazon Tree Snake that I helped relocate at the local pet store. Stinking thing nipped me twice. Think I would have learned after the first time. Not like it is the first time I have been bit. Nor the last. Nyoka is pretty easy to handle though and has not tried to nip me. Would rather run and hide than fight.

they are very docile snakes. my rosy enjoys being handled and roaming around my room. doesn't seem to mind one bit and has never struck or bit me.
