Very cute - congratulations, she is a little darling! She certainly is a sleepy head though, perhaps you wore her out with your photo shoot
I can't remember our adults being so tiny - how old is she?, she is very small, and in one pic looks perhaps a little dehydrated - try giving her a shallow bath in warm water.Good luck with her, I hope you have many happy years with her. And carry on taking those pics - they grow up so quickly! ![]()

What a little cutie, she does look really small and worn out, cute pictures though, she looked lost in a few bless.
Can I just ask! her tank looked rather dark, are you providing UV light and basking lamp, or was it just bed time ![]() |

It was bed time...I had turned off her lamps five minutes before...she was so tired, she was almost asleep standing up. I think she might be in kinda bad shape from the breeder's miscare, but I'll change that. She IS eating, as I watched her eat a cricket this morning...took her a bit cause she's so small, but she finished it. The breeder tried selling me the pellets...saying he never feeds crickets to his dragons...I'm sorry to hear that...but nothing I could do aside from take this little sweetie off his hands.
PS: To address you,...yes, she has proper UV and basking lights. Her tank is a 20-long...she hasn't basked yet, though...hopefully she'll be on her log when I go home...she was only on them last night in the pics because I picked her up and put her there. BTW, they told me Dragons don't drop their tails nearly as easily as other lizards...is this true? |

as much as mine has tried to run away and i've grabbed it's tail by reflex, you'd think it was made of steel! Bearded Dragons are agamids and are the real "true lizards" at least that's what I read on anapsid.org
nice pix btw, she's a cutie pie ![]()

Dragons don't drop their tails period. If she loose her tail it won't grow back.
She's cute but awfully skinny, maybe because she's very young and wasn't eating right. Give her crickets and you'll see a big difference in a couple of weeks, maybe less. |

The cricket she had this morning was too big for her...but I checked the tank...no more big ones. All in there now are the size of the space between her eyes. She still has her eyes closed tonight...again, it was bed time, so I don't know if she's sick or if she was just sleeping. She was standing up on her legs with her eyes closed...not basking. I moved her around a bit, and made sure she was alive. The cutie opened her eyes, and moved her front legs a bit. Then I thought about you said Merlin, and checked her hind legs...they are considerably less active than the front, but not paralyzed...she didn't take a few steps, but otherwise, she just wants to sleep. I really hope I can bring her back to good health...I don't know what I'll do if I can't...I've had her a little over 30 hours now, and I've allready fallen for the little girl. Wish me luck everyone. I hope within a week or so, she'll show more signs of activity. I'm also hoping she moves around during the day. I was gone all day, so I wouldn't know...but we'll see. I also sat her in a thing of water for a minute or so...got some water on her mouth, and she licked it off. We'll have to see how things go.

Don't forget that you shouldn't feed her less than 1h 1/2 - 2h before bed time (because she needs to have time to digest in the basking spot) and to don't leave crickets in the enclosure over night! They will annoy her and even might hurt her if they are hungry.
