Catching some Zzz..

Hi!
A couple of days ago I've seen it sleeping in a awkward position but tonight it was so comical I thought I would share.

I took the first pic because I thought it looked cute, sleeping in that little corner of the log. Later I went to check the temps again and I saw it like that, with its back legs hanging, like if he had slipped from the bed =)

Donna, it's one of those terrarium logs like driftwood.

LOL! Jay, I haven't had that pleasure but from what I've seen, they really fall asleep deeply in the most peculiar positions =)

Is that the color of it, or is a light making it that colour? it looks really nice, at first I thought it was like a knitted jumper or something, till I looked more closely

Donna, that color shift is due to the use of a custom white balance set for the IR lamp.
In laymans terms, everything under the IR lamp is bright red so to distinguish them apart, I measured the "color" of the light by pointing to the whitest thing in the terrarium and telling the camera "this is white".

The log is brown but has a velvet like texture in that part.
