Startling Surprise

This guy was hanging out at the base of a rock climb that I did a couple of weeks ago, he didn't seem to be too amused by our presence so he slithered off. He didn't rattle at all.

Re: Startling Surprise

Awesome! He is so well camouflaged, well done to have noticed him. Sho I must say, he is one amazing looking snake.

Re: Startling Surprise

I didn't see him first, but at least I saw him before my climbing partner stepped on him. We'd heard the rattlesnakes were really bad there, but we'd only seen bull snakes up to that point.

Re: Startling Surprise

Oh snap!

I just remembered why I don't like rock climbing in the wild.
